I'll admit that I didn't exactly kick things off in a civil manner, but let's face it - sometimes you need a little shock value to get your point across.  Civil discussion gets you nowhere when it comes to making a point about how absolutely ridiculous religious belief really is...  and I also wanted to push some buttons to see how those almighty religious folk would react.  (Spoiler alert - they didn't act very Christ-like) So, now that I've admitted to being a smartass... What happens when you tell a "believer" that he is bat shit crazy for believing that there is a flying spaghetti monster in the sky arbitrarily blessing some while leaving others to be fed upon by vultures? He doesn't behave in any way like a Christian (What would Jesus do???).  He doesn't offer any prayers for your soul.  He doesn't have patience, temperance, or compassion for your seemingly confused, misguided ways.  What Dave Armstrong does is the same

Everyone is born a non-believer, born without the belief of a god. Belief in a creator comes later after your family and community have had a chance to indoctrinate you into whatever religious tradition you have the misfortune of being brought up in. Did you know, I can more times than not, accurately predict your religion based on your geographical location that you were brought up in? Religion...nothing more than a taught theory...a theory that has zilch, nada, zero, not one shred of tangible evidence to support it. Modern man is 200,000 years old, yet Christian religion appeared only about 6000 years ago. Why? Because it wasnt until man garnered the communication skills, and the intellect to ask the proverbial question of all time, "Why are we here?". Without the science and knowledge of the cosmos we have today, through attrition, they only understood one answer...creation. They then deemed there must be a creator, and poof...god was "born". This is sad.  Don't get me wrong - the video is hilarious, but the fact that so many people are so easily duped is EXTREMELY sad.  Religion has pulled the wool over too many people's eyes for far too long. It's time for people to start waking up.

So, you think you are "blessed?" To say that you are blessed is to say that your circumstances in life have somehow been affected by some sort of supernatural deity...  And apparently this supernatural deity cherry picks who he blesses and who he does not. I guess he "blessed" the vulture in this picture, but not this little girl. Furthermore, to believe in a deity that goes around meddling in human existence by "blessing" people is to completely deny that there can be any free will, for the "blessings" that he is willy-nilly giving some, but not others, have a direct effect on the choices that a person has the ability to make... For anyone to walk around saying they are blessed is absolutely SHAMEFUL.  It is delusional, and it is shameful. You simply got lucky.  VERY lucky.
